We called upon our resident expert, Rachel of @smokesipsavor on all things “entertaining with weed” to whip up something truly delightful for your next shindig or just any afternoon. Together’ we’re bidding farewell to hangovers with this CBD-infused mocktail that takes a playful stance on our favorite terpenes. How nice is it to embrace the relaxing chill of this bevvie without the worry of reaching for the advil in the morning? Very nice.
Secret Garden
¾ oz. Seedlip Garden
¾ oz. rosemary lavender simple syrup
¾ oz. lemon juice
Sweet Reason CBD-infused Grapefruit sparkling water
Edible flower ice
Combine Seedlip, simple syrup, and lemon juice in a tin with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain over edible flower ice cube into a Collins glass. Top with Sweet Reason Grapefruit CBD Sparkling Water.
Pro Tip: Serve the drink over edible flower-filled ice cubes, which should be made at least 24 hours before. Use distilled water to keep your cubes as clear as possible. Rachel uses chrysanthemums in her version but you can try a variety of other edible flowers to pretty up the glass.
Rachel’s simple syrup recipe:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 sprig rosemary
1 tsp. dried food-grade lavender buds (or 5–6 fresh lavender pieces)
In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture thickens. Turn off heat, and add rosemary and lavender. Allow to steep on the stove until cool. Strain out botanicals and store in the refrigerator for up to 30 days.
