How to properly dose cannabis and CBD is one of the most asked questions we receive as well as one of the murkiest waters to navigate. The truth is, getting yourself into that Goldilocks Zone where you’re feeling just right can be a test of patience and some trial and error.

But, that doesn’t mean we can set some healthy guidelines to get you in the Zone faster. Before we get into some handy charts, first things first:

There is no One-Size-Fits-All
Just like in clothes, diets, and alcohol tolerance, each experience is unique to you. As mentioned in our lesson on cannabinoids, your body weight, age, unique condition, body chemistry (i.e genetics, metabolism, liver enzymes) and mood of the day, all affect your reaction to the plant and product. It’s helpful to share experiences with friends, but don’t assume your bodies will react the same way.

Hone in on the Issue You Want to Address
Is it general wellness? Or relief for mild or severe ailments? This will influence the recommended dose.

Quality, Quality, Quality

You deserve nothing but the best when it comes to product quality. Shop smart! Ask for COAs (and actually read them), ask about how the cannabis is sourced and processed.

Start Low and Slow

We may sound like a broken record, but we stand behind microdosing. It really helps us understand cannabis’ effect on our bodies!

Keep Track of Your Progress

You never had trouble journaling your feelings in high school. Why stop now? Record your mood before/after, goals, product, dose, onset time, effects felt, effects duration, and outcome and monitor both the good and the bad.
