“Reclaiming Radical Joy” is a loosely-structured, show-and-tell style project intended to showcase the current art, creative projects, writing, designs, ideas, etc., of QTBIPOC folks. Projects may have a radical, liberation and movement building focus or may be completely whimsical. Point is, it’s critical to take space to make, express, and share joy and that’s part of “the work,” too.

The class is designed for beginners with no prior experience. You will learn basic hand-building ceramic skills: Slabs, pinch pots, and coils. Your ashtrays will stay at the studio after class to dry and get bisque fired, glazed, and glaze fired. The finished product will be available for pickup 3 weeks after the class date.
