HiVi Community Director Monët Bush adds a bit of sparkle and luxury to the traditional weed sweets with a truffles recipe that is almost too beautiful to eat, almost. And! They’re vegan to boot.
First, meet Monët: Monët is a mom and dedicated wellness worker from multiple fronts. After working in the corporate world for 7 years, she pivoted her career to open a Design Firm, Earth and Olive, that serves the wellness community. The shift allowed for a judgment-free zone sharing her path to wellness with PMDD and Cannabis. You can find her wellness work in Ban.do, The Female Founders Collective, and Healers, to name a few.
I’m a Black woman who the medical system failed repeatedly. When I connected with my MD, who also practices holistic medicine, my life did a complete reverse uno. It doesn’t get any more holistic than the herb. That’s the legacy I want my child to learn. Not the one of western medicine and the money game.
Vegan White Chocolate Truffles
Ingredients:
- 2 grams of (CBD, CBG or THC) – Monet used Purple Punch
- 14oz of vegan ghee to infuse (Monet used Nutiva)
- 2 cups of White Chocolate Chips (or ½ 16 oz bag) (If vegan CG Gourmet has a great option)
- Edible Gold
- Purple Cornflowers
- Cinnamon
- Freeze Dried Strawberries
Directions:
- Decarb your flower using the A2 setting on the Ardent Flex for THC or CBG and A1 setting for CBD.
- After decarbed, infuse all 14 oz of flower on the Ardent Flex “infuse” setting.
- In a saucepan bring some water (about ¼” high) to a boil.
- In a heat-safe bowl, place 2 ½ cups of white chocolate and about ⅓ cup of infused ghee and melt until you can easily pour into your mold.
- In each mold, swipe a bit of edible gold using your thin brush, sprinkle a bit of crushed freeze-dried strawberries, and place 2-4 purple cornflower petals
- Pour the warm infused chocolate into the molds
- You can let the molds cool naturally, but if you place them in the freezer for 5 minutes they’ll be perfect to eat right then
- You can also sprinkle a bit more freeze-dried strawberries and petals if ya fancy!
